Skills Competition 2025

SKILLS COMPETITION - ENTRY CLOSES 6TH FEBRUARY 2025

This competition is suitable for everyone who is receiving this email in a 1hr Recreational class or is born in 2018 and in a 2hr Advanced Recreational class.

The competition will involve gymnasts performing 8 skills on floor, beam and vault. These are all things they have been learning in their weekly sessions and the coaches will select their level for the event and the skills they will perform.

The participants should be able to attend 2 practice sessions 9 (runing the 8th, 15th and 22nd February 12;30pm, 1:30pm and 2:30pm) as part of the preparation for the event. There will be no viewing at the practice sessions as we will be using this area for training.

There will be (optional) chargeable spectating at the event for two people per gymnast. Siblings under 3 years of age, that are happy to sit on their grown-ups lap when spectating, will not count as part of the allocation.

Gymnasts will ideally wear our Club Participation Leotard or Navy Shorts & Club T-Shirt, ordered via our website.

Entry is £36 (This is made up of 2 practice sessions, competition fee and administration fee) No Refunds will be given under any circumstances. Entries must be made by the closing date of the 6th February.

To enter the event, follow the instructions below-

1.     Click book to select your 1st Pre-Training session from the list below.

2.     Tick to select your 2nd Pre-Training session from the list available.

3.     Complete yours and your child’s details as requested.

4.     Click ‘continue to payment’.

This competition is suitable for everyone who is receiving this email in a 1hr recreational class or is born in 2016 and in a 2hr advanced recreational class.

The competition will involve gymnasts performing 8 skills on floor, beam and vault. These are all things they have been learning in their weekly sessions and the coaches will select their level for the event and the skills they will perform.

The participants should be able to attend 2 practice sessions as part of the preparation for the event. Ideally, these will be one on each of the dates provided however, if you really are unable to make one of the dates, they can do two on the same day.

There will be spectating at the event for two grown-ups per gymnast. Unfortunately, we can only accommodate siblings under 3 years of age that are happy to sit on their grown-ups lap when spectating.

Gymnasts will ideally wear a leotard, if they already own one. Alternatively, your child is permitted to wear shorts and t-shirt.

To enter the event, follow the instructions below-

1.     From the calendar below, select the number of children you wish to enter

2.     Select your first pre training session. Click “add a time.”

3.     Select your second pre-training session. Click “add a time.”

4.     Select the competition day of 12th March (Due to a system anomaly, please be aware that the time will show as 12am. However, the actual start time of the competition will not be confirmed until approx. 2 weeks before. So please hold the full day 9am-6pm in your diaries, the time slot your child is given will be set and cannot be changed.

3. Select “continue” and follow the steps for payment (£36 per gymnast)
